Drivers of cold chain trucks can be vaccinated first
Recently, the State Council’s Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism held a press conference to announce that it will give priority to the COVID-19 vaccine for key populations engaged in imported cold chain, fresh food market, public transportation, port quarantine, ship pilotage, aviation air service, and medical disease control.
At the press conference, Zeng Yixin, head of the vaccine research team of the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism Research Team of the State Council and deputy director of the National Health Commission, introduced that the key populations mainly refer to cold chain logistics personnel, customs border inspection personnel, medical disease control personnel, and agricultural trade Market, seafood market, public transportation staff. This part of the population is at a higher risk of being infected by COVID-19 than other populations because of the job.
It is reported that more than 1 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine emergency vaccination have been completed so far. After strict adverse reaction monitoring and follow-up observation, no serious adverse reactions have occurred.
This news is great news for drivers engaged in logistics transportation, especially cold chain transportation (refrigerated trucks for COVID vaccine). On the one hand, drivers can work normally and make money; on the other hand, they can avoid the risk of infection caused by occupation.
