Garbage truck steering failure small tips

  • Use fine sandpaper to clean the paint and rust on the input shaft, then loosen the sealing nut of the lower stroke valve and the adjustment screw of the upper stroke valve for two turns; before unloading the valve body, mark the valve body and the shell to install it in place Remove the valve body bolts and remove the valve body; take out the valve sleeve in the valve body; take out the 2 bearing thrust washers and thrust bearing in the valve body; remove the rectangular oil seal of the valve body in the sealing groove of the valve body end face.

 

 

  • Remove the steering gear. Clean the dirt on the surface of the assembly, especially the dirt around the nozzle. Drain the oil in the assembly and immediately plug the nozzle. Remove the connecting parts on the rocker shaft and the input shaft. Remove the steering gear from the bracket.

 

 

  • Remove the small hexagon head bolts, tap the end face of the rocker shaft with a copper hammer or wooden hammer, slowly disassemble the side cover and rocker shaft assembly; unscrew the rocker shaft adjustment screw lock nut, and take out the side cover Gasket assembly; separate the side cover and the rocker shaft; take out the retaining ring, seal ring assembly, thrust washer, support pad, and plug. Replace the bearing and rocker shaft adjustment screw if necessary.
